the white chapel
It was love at first sight when Dave and Beth came upon the photos of the White Chapel on the campus of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The chapel had only been built a few years prior (in 2001), and although it is located in her hometown, Beth had yet to see it in person. But still they knew - and they had Beth's parents reserve it on the spot. Not currently having any specific religious affiliations with a particular church in the area, it seemed a perfect fit for their ceremony - and a reflection of who they are as a couple.
When they finally got to see it in person, it was even more impressive than the pictures they saw on the web. Even for the seemingly simple structure and surroundings, there was an immediate feeling of warmth in it's immensity, and reverence in it's informality. The outdoor patio waterfall and the diamond pattern in the stainless steel on the outside panels were the inspiration for much of Beth and Dave's wedding decor, and the simple design with the beautiful clear view of nature through the enormous windows have made their decorating that much easier!
